European alumina production slides in Q3

According to statistics released by the International Aluminum Institute (IAI), alumina production in Europe, including Russia, totaled around 1.97 million tons in the third quarter of this year, dropping by 6.2% compared to the previous quarter.
In September alone, alumina production in Europe was 615,000 tons, down by 6.82% from August and by 26.61% from the year-ago level.
In the first three quarters of this year, European alumina production amounted to approximately 6.5 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 16.74%.
