Distributors in Europe began to replenish their inventory in November, which meant that market inventory was already low. However, the order quantity for stock replenishment was not large, and temporary demand from dealers did not bring incentives to the market.

The price surge caused by the Russo-Ukraine war and the current demand drops have resulted in high inventory with high costs of unit price, which has suppressed the overall market and pushed European mills to cut production.

This week, nordic stainless steel prices were flat week-on-week under sluggish demand.
