EU’s ambassador calls on Biden to cancel aluminum tariffs

Stavros Lambrinidis, the ambassador of the EU to the US called on President Biden to cancel aluminum tariffs on the EU and solve the dispute over the subsidy dispute of Boeing and Airbus.
According to Stavros Lambrinidis, Brussels was totally ready to cooperate with the US so as to enhance the transatlantic trade relationship, instead of setting up a Fortress Europe.
Besides, he also appealed to the US government for the resumption of the World Trade Organization (WTO)’s Appellate Body, whose appointment of new judges was blocked by the Trump administration and lost its quorum to hear new appeals.
