General Motors to invest $45 million to expand capacity at Bedford aluminum die casting foundry

General Motors (GM) has announced an investment of US$45 million at its aluminum die casting foundry in Bedford, Indiana. With the investment, the facility’s production capacity of EV drive unit castings will be raised to meet the needs of the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV and 2024 GMC Sierra EV full-size pickups.

GM has spent nearly US$456 million to enhance its Bedford casting business since 2011.
