Klöckner & Co., a German producer-independent steel and metal distributor, announced that it has acquired Hernandez Stainless GmbH (Hernandez) and RSC Rostfrei Coilcenter GmbH (RSC). Both acquisitions were made through the company's German subsidiary Becker Stahl-Service.

Hernandez provides surface finish and stock stainless steel flat products, and RSC is specialized in stripping stainless steel coils. With the acquisitions, Becker enters stainless steel processing and expands its product and service portfolio. Hernandez and RSC provide service to around 400 dealers and stainless steel processing companies across Europe.

The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase prices of either company.

Both companies were expected to be included in the consolidated financial statements from the third quarter of this year.
