Ghana's VALCO plans to raise production capacity by upgrading facilities

Ghana’s Volta Aluminum Company (VALCO)’s project supervised by Ghana Integrated Aluminium Development Corporation (GIADEC) was scheduled to be launched as soon as the strategic partner is ready.

The project includes the modernization of the smelter, and it was planned to be completed within three to five years in two phases.

The first phase of the project was to reach a production capacity of 170,000 tons per year, and the second phase was to achieve an annual production capacity of 120,000 tons.
