Global alumina production rises in Sep

According to statistics released by the International Aluminum Institute (IAI), global alumina production, including metallurgical and chemical grades, totaled 11.17 million tons in September, sliding by 4.33% compared to the previous month while rising by 3.3% from the same month a year ago.
In the third quarter, global alumina production reached 34.514 million tons, down by 2.64% quarter-on-quarter and up by 3.3% year on year.
In the first three quarters, global alumina production amounted to around 103.91 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 5.42%.
Among them, China's alumina output in September was 6.184 million tons, the output in the third quarter was 18.854 million tons, and the total output in the first three quarters was roughly 56.57 million tons.
