Global crude oil daily demand may drop 17 million barrels in Q2

According to the announcement from the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) this week, the global crude oil demand has affected by the impact from the COVID-19, and the daily demand in the second quarter this year in the world might face a dramatic decline.

However, the world’s economy was resumed step by step, and more and more countries decided to loosen the border restriction policy, which might further stimulate the crude oil demand to increase.

Most of the market participants were optimistic about the crude oil market prices in the second half of this year.

By the prediction from the OPEC, the daily crude oil demand for the earth this second quarter might drop by 17 million barrels year on year but would gradually resume in the next half of year.
