Global primary aluminum production drops in Sep

According to statistics from the International Aluminum Institute (IAI), global primary aluminum production totaled 6.007 million tons in September, falling by 3.2% compared to the previous month and growing by 1.3% from the same month a year ago.

In the month, the global average daily output of primary aluminum was 200,200 tons, keeping flat from August. The average daily output was 197,700 tons in September last year.

The estimated output of China's primary aluminum was 3.595 million tons in September, down from 3.715 million tons in August. Production in other regions of Asia was 392,000 tons.
