Global primary aluminum supply in short of 1.477 million tons in Jan-Nov 2021

According to a report released by the World Bureau of Metal Statistics (WBMS), in the first 11 months of 2021, the global shortage of primary aluminum totaled 1.477 million tons, compared to a surplus of 1.272 million tons in 2020.

The demand for primary aluminum in the January-November period was 63.25 million tons, rising by 4.648 million tons from the same period in 2020. The demand was calculated with the apparent data, and nationwide blockade measures might affect trade statistics.
