According to the independent steel industry analyst MEPS, global crude stainless steel production was expected to grow by 11% year on year to 56.5 million tons in 2021.

Despite global output growth, most markets are facing supply shortages at different degrees. Due to economic stimulus plans and the positive expectations after the COVID-19 epidemic, the consumption of global end users is good.

The supply is in a tight pattern because of low inventories. Therefore, stainless steel prices may continue the upward trend in the medium term.
