The prices of hot-rolled coils (HRC) in the European market continued to rise, still being affected by the worse shortage of supply.

At present, the Nordic steel mills' estimated production in Q3 will be insufficient, and the sooner delivery is till at the end of Q3. In addition, local buyers also need to wait until Q3-Q4 to receive imported HRC.

Many factors, such as supply shortage, longer delivery, and global price-up, kept boosting HRC prices in the EU. Recently, domestic steel mills are requesting the EU to cancel import safeguard measures as the suppliers have completely controlled the pricing power.
