Norwegian aluminum producer Norsk Hydro said that its division that supplies aluminum products to the automobile and construction industries will exclude Russia’s aluminum from its purchases in 2023. Those contracts for this year inked in 2021 will continue to buy aluminum from RUSAL, the world's biggest producer outside China.

Novelis, a subsidiary of India's Hindalco Industries, also said earlier that it would not accept Russia’s aluminum for its tender next year.
