India makes final CVD ruling on stainless steel flat products from Indonesia

The Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry announced on January 15, 2021 that it has made a final ruling of countervailing duty (CVD) on flat products of stainless steel from Indonesia, recommending to impose a CVD from October 9, 2020, with a duty rate at 18.83%-24% of CIF. The order will be valid for 5 years.

The products involved are under Customs Subheading 7219 and 7220.

The investigation was firstly launched on October 18, 2019 by the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry, based on a joint application filed by Indian Stainless Steel Development Association (ISSDA), Jindal Stainless Limited (JSL), Jindal Stainless (Hisar) Limited, and Jindal Stainless Steelway Limited (JSSL).
