The Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry announced on January 20, 2021 that it has made the final ruling of the second anti-dumping (AD) sunset review on cold-rolled flat products of stainless steel of a thickness of up to 4mm and a width of 600 mm to 1250 mm (width tolerance of +30 mm for mill edged and +4mm for trimmed edged) and of width above 1250 mm for no further processed other than cold rolling, originating in or exported from China, South Korea, the EU, South Africa, Taiwan, Thailand, and the US.

According to the ruling, it was proposed to continue the AD duties on China and South Korea, at the rate of 57.39% and 5.39%-13.44%, respectively, with a validity period of 5 years. However, the AD order on the EU, South Africa, Thailand, the USA, and Taiwan wasn’t recommended to extend.

The products involved in this case are under customs subheadings 7219.
