According to the performance report released by Indian Jindal Stainless Limited (JSL), in the third quarter of the fiscal year 2020-2021 (October to December 2020), the firm’s stainless steel sales had a year-on-year increase of 5% to around 250,000 tons, and the net sales had a year-on-year hike of nearly 9% to around 34.5 billion rupees.

During the period, JSL’s EBITDA was up by 47% to 4.45 billion rupees, and the profit after tax grew by 170% to 1.52 billion rupees.

The increase in JSL’s performance was due to the V-shaped recovery of stainless steel demand in the domestic market.

With the gradual recovery of the end market of the domestic industries such as the automotive, pipelines, and industrial manufacturing sectors, JSL performs well in the sales of decorative pipes, hollow utensils, railway trucks, subways, and so forth.
