India’s coking coal imports hike in Apr-Nov FY21-22

According to statistics from Indian Ports Association (IPA), in the period from April to November of the fiscal year 2021-22, the imports of coking coal through all major ports in India amounted to around 33.52 million tons, growing by 6.05% compared to the same period a year ago.

In November alone, the imposts of coking coal were around 5.29 million tons, up by 38.7% month on month.

In the April-November period, the shipment of iron ore including pellets at all major ports in India totaled around 33.87 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 23%.
