Mukand, an Indian integrated alloy and stainless steel producer, will soon raise its annual production of stainless steel at the Thane facility from 100,000 tons to 150,000 tons. The expansion of production and sales will not bring any significant capital expenditure, so the firm’s turnover increased by around Rs 700 crore per year.

The alloy steel rolling at the Thane facility is now gradually being transferred to the newly commissioned bar and wire rod mill at the MSSSL Hospet plant, thereby releasing stainless steel production capacity at the Thane facility.
