India's stainless steel demand to exceed 6 million tons in 2030

India's stainless steel production capacity, including flat products, long products, etc., totaled about 6.5 million tons, of which flat products account for 5 million tons. It was estimated that stainless steel demand will grow by more than 6 million tons by 2030.

Jindal Stainless Limited (JSL) announced that it will merge with Jindal Stainless (Hisar) Limited, and the estimated annual production capacity was 1.9 million tons after the merger, which will make the company rank among the top ten stainless steel manufacturers in the world.

The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) said in February that India's stainless steel industry has a production capacity of more than 5 million tons and can meet domestic demand by increasing local production.

India has the ability to produce all grades and thicknesses of stainless steel required by end users, and there is no need to rely on imports.
