Vedanta, an aluminum producer in India, announced to raise the prices of aluminum ingots to INR 170,000-183,000/ton starting from January 5, 2021, which surged by INR 6,250/ton from the prices on January 1. The prices have previously been declined for three times in a row.

The LME three-month aluminum prices are usually linked to the prices of aluminum products by India’s producers. The LME aluminum futures have been in an upward trend since October 2020.
