The collaboration aims to strengthen the Indo-Japanese economic partnership and promote sustainable aluminium production. The two entities formalised their partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed at Daiki Aluminium's headquarters in Osaka, Japan.

The MoU was signed by Goto Kazushi, Senior Managing Director of Daiki Aluminium Industry Company Limited, and Dr Anupam Agnihotri, Director of JNARDDC, with key figures including Fukushima Toshitake, Vice General Manager of Overseas Business Coordination at Daiki, R.N. Chouhan, Head of Department for Downstream and Recycling at JNARDDC, and R. Anil Kumar, a scientist at JNARDDC, in attendance.

This collaboration marks a pivotal moment for both nations, leveraging JNARDDC's robust research and development capabilities alongside Daiki Aluminium's cutting-edge technological advancements. The establishment of a new recycling unit at JNARDDC, Nagpur, is expected to be a cornerstone in promoting innovative approaches to sustainable aluminium production.
