Inner Mongolia North Aluminum’s high-end aluminium plate and foil project with an annual capacity of 200,000-tonnes has finally entered the trail production phase. The project commenced construction in March 2023 and has successfully completed all pre-construction tasks.

Inner Mongolia North Aluminum Co., Ltd. is constructing a high-end aluminium foil production project in the Huolingol High-Tech Development Zone. The project, which spans 300 acres, will have an annual output capacity of 200,000 tonnes and a planned total investment of 1.5 billion yuan.

The main equipment includes aluminium plate foil production systems such as casting rolling, cold rolling, foil rolling, and colour coating units. The products primarily consist of battery foil, double-zero foil, decorative foil, and more.

As of now, two casting and rolling lines of the project completed their trial runs in early July, and one cold rolling line has also begun trial operation. The project is anticipated to be fully operational by the end of 2025. Once it reaches full production capacity, it is expected to generate an annual output value of 5 billion yuan, contribute RMB 250 million in tax revenue, and provide employment for over 500 people.

The project leverages Holingol City's land resources and aluminium water supply advantages, incorporating six newly introduced high-speed, high-end colour coating lines. The colour coating workshop is undergoing equipment infrastructure construction, with completion expected by November. Once operational, the colour-coated rolls produced will suit various applications, including building decoration. This development is significant for further extending the industrial chain and enhancing the added value of the products.
