International aluminum prices up by 60% a year, US scrap aluminum recycling is hot

Over the past year, the price of LME aluminum rose from US$2,190/ton in March 2021 to US$3,605/ton last Friday, an increase of about 60%.

The high price of aluminum has attracted aluminum companies from all over the world, even the US to invest heavily in recycling waste aluminum and rerefining it to increase production and make profits.

Aluminum manufacturers around the world are increasing investment in the US, so they are recycling abandoned cars, factory waste, and cans to reprocess them to meet rising demand.
