International crude oil prices rise as Russia cuts output

International crude oil prices rose on July 18 as investors' risk appetite increased, and there were signs that Russia was following through on its pledge to cut supply.

West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude for August delivery increased by US$1.60, reaching US$75.75/barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

Brent crude for September delivery grew by US$1.13, settling at US$79.63/barrel.
