Italy's crude steel production goes down in Feb

According to data from the Italian steelmakers' association Federacciai, in February, Italy's crude steel production was about 1.8 million tons, decreasing by 3.9% year on year. Meanwhile, the flat products output decreased by 16.7% from the same month a year ago to about 676,000 tons. The output of long products was about 1.1 million tons, increasing by 0.9% month on month.

In the first two months, Italy's crude steel production slightly increased by 0.5% year on year to 3.4 million tons. During the same period, the flat product output decreased by 6.3% year on year to 1.4 million tons. The long products output slightly went up by 0.9% from the same period a year ago to 1.9 million tons.
