According to Japan Aluminium Association (JAA), the output of Japan’s aluminum products totaled around 152,400 tons in November this year, falling by 7.9% compared to the year-ago level, the eighth consecutive month of reduction.

Among them, the output of aluminum plates dropped by 8.9% to roughly 93,000 tons, and that of aluminum extrusion fell by 6.3% to 59,800 tons, both year on year.

In terms of shipment, Japan shipped 8.2% fewer aluminum products from last November, down by 152,000 tons. The shipment of aluminum plates was down by 9.5% year on year to 91,300 tons.

Among them, the demand for aluminum cans dropped by 6.1% year on year to 29,500 tons, mainly due to lower sales of beer caused by increased prices. The need for the automobile industry grew by 1.6% year on year to 16,200 tons, primarily due to recovered car production.
