Japan’s demand for aluminum cans expected to be stable at 2.178 billion in 2022

According to the Japan Aluminum Can Recycling Association, the demand for aluminum cans in Japan, including domestic and imported volume, was expected to be approximately 2.178 billion cans in 2022, keeping flat compared to the figure in 2021. Among them, the domestic demand for aluminum cans would be about 2.138 billion cans.

In 2021, the demand for aluminum cans in Japan, including domestic and imported aluminum cans, also maintained stable compared to the previous year, at 2.178 billion cans. The figure has remained at this level for eight years in a row.
