Japanese Nippon Steel announced that it had decided to keep the price of 300 series stainless steel and medium and heavy plates flat for February. Meanwhile, its 400 series stainless steel prices would decrease by 5,000 yen per ton because the currency fluctuates.
In February, its surcharge of 316L products increased by 50,000 yen per ton because molybdenum prices soared due to unstable supply. The difficulty was hard to be solved in the short term.
