Japan's stainless steel exports increase in Dec 2020

According to data from the Japanese Ministry of Finance, the country's stainless steel exports in December 2020 increased by 10.6% to around 67,400 tons. The total export value of stainless steel products in December was roughly US$2.61 billion.

Japan's December exports of stainless steel products increased mainly due to the increase in exports to China, Thailand, and the US.

Compared with the export volume in November, China increased by 6.2%, South Korea decreased by 20.9%, Taiwan decreased by 8.7%, the US increased by 64.3%, and Thailand increased by 15.6%.
