Recently, the market circulated the notice of the Jiangsu Department of Ecology and Environment on the implementation of ultra-low emission differentiated electricity prices for steel enterprises.

The stainless steel mills involved in Jiangsu Province, such as Jiangsu Delong, Zhang Zhangjiagang Pohang Stainless Steel, and Lianyungang Huale Alloy Co., Ltd., all needed to implement a price increase standard of 0.3-1.8 cents/kWh.

According to preliminary estimation, the cost of stainless steel cold-rolled coil will increase by about RMB 20 per ton, while the cost of stainless steel hot-rolled coil will increase slightly by approximately RMB 15 per ton.

In the current situation where the profit of stainless steel is relatively meager, it will put a certain pressure on related enterprises.
