Kazakhstan plans to increase domestic processing of aluminum, copper, lead by 2029

Marat Karabayev, the Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan, said that the Ministry has begun implementing the president's work order. A series of amendments is planned to improve the regulations of the geological industry.

The Minister said that the local processing of aluminum, copper, and lead is growing, and the deep processing of raw materials and the output of processed products will be increased as well. By 2029, Kazakhstan’s domestic processing of aluminum will be raised by five times, and that of copper and lead will be increased by thirteen times and four times, respectively.
