To support the country’s manufacturing industry, the Kazakh government has implemented legislative reforms that led to the signing of 25 agreements between manufacturing and large mining companies, with a focus on ensuring the domestic processing of primary aluminum and copper raw materials.

Therefore, Kazakhstan’s aluminum processing volume was planned to be raised to 72,000 tons by 2024. The volume was 51,000 tons in 2023, a year-on-year increase of 20% and a hike of 70% from 2021.

Besides, Kazakhstan is also working on increasing its copper production, aiming to raise it from 450,000 to 750,000 tons by 2029.
