LME aluminium benchmark price drops to US$2,165/t; SHFE price gains US$37/t to US$2,638/t

LME aluminium opened at US$2212.5 per tonne in the previous trading day, with its low and high at US$2196 per tonne and US$2218 per tonne, respectively, before closing at US$2216 per tonne, up US$4.5 per tonne or 0.2 per cent.

On Friday, November 17, LME aluminium cash bid price and LME aluminium official settlement price hiked by US$17.5 per tonne or 0.80 per cent to close at US$2,164.50 per tonne and US$2,165 per tonne.

London Metal Exchange graph displayed that the 3-month bid price and 3-month offer price dropped by US$16 per tonne or 0.72 per cent and US$16.5 per tonne or 0.74 per cent to halt at US$2,203 per tonne and US$2,203.50 per tonne.

December 24 bid price and December 24 offer price dipped by US$15 per tonne or 0.64 per cent to clock at US$2,318 per tonne and US$2,323 per tonne. LME aluminium opening stock came in at 481775 tonnes. Live warrants and Cancelled warrants closed at 212875 tonnes and 268900 tonnes.

LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price also fell by US$17.5 per tonne or 0.78 per cent to reside at US$2,212.43 per tonne.
