LME aluminium benchmark price moves up by US$2/t; SHFE price hikes to US$2,678/t

On Thursday, LME 3M aluminium opened at US$2,325 per tonne, with a high of US$2,370 per tonne, a low of US$2,321.5 per tonne, and closed at US$2,356 per tonne, up US$29 per tonne, an increase of 1.25 per cent.

On Thursday, August 15, both LME aluminium cash bid price and LME aluminium official settlement price moved up by US$3.5 per tonne or 0.15 per cent and US$2 per tonne or 0.08 per cent to settle at US$2,300.50 per tonne and US$2,301 per tonne.

LME aluminium 3-month bid price and 3-month offer price added US$2 per tonne or 0.08 per cent and US$1 per tonne or 0.04 per cent to clock at US$2,349 per tonne and US$2,350 per tonne.

December 25 bid price and December 25 offer price moved down by US$1 per tonne or 0.04 per cent to clock at US$2,487 per tonne and US$2,492 per tonne. LME aluminium opening stock came in at 892475 tonnes.

Live warrants and Cancelled warrants stood at 353800 tonnes and 538675 tonnes. LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price hiked by US$16.01 per tonne or 0.68 per cent to dock at US$2,344.97 per tonne.
