Due to the severe changes in nickel prices last week, the London Metal Exchange (LME)'s nickel trading was suspended on March 8, but the official website hasn't disclosed the latest hours for trading resumption.

Owing to the long-short battle between Tsingshan and mining giant Glencore, the LME nickel price was up by three times in the past two weeks, exceeding US$100,000/ton from US$42,200/ton.

In addition to the suspension of trading, LME also announced to increase trading margins and limit fluctuations, which are currently limited to around 10%.
