LME nickel price increases by $283/ton on Mar 4; stimulated policies expected to release after China’s Two Sessions

The London Metal Exchange (LME) nickel price increased by US$283/ton and closed at US$17,945/ton on March 4. During the same period, the LME’s zinc price also went up by US$32/ton to US$2,449/ton. The prices of copper, lead, and tin also increased to US$8,542/ton, US$2,052/ton, and US$26,833/ton, respectively.

The market participants pointed out that due to the begin of China’s Two Sessions, the market atmosphere is optimistic, and stimulated policies were expected to be released, which further drove basic metal prices up.
