LME nickel price rises greatly on Sep 4

The three-month futures price of nickel on the London Metal Exchange (LME) rose greatly by US$198/ton last Friday (September 4), closing at US$15,293/ton. The spot price also sharply hiked by US$191.5/ton to US$15,251.5/ton.

The average nickel price in September reached US$15,373/ton, higher than US$14,567/ton in the previous month.

Meanwhile, the fundamentals of the nickel market were unchanged. The short-term nickel price was expected to move with little fluctuations.
