Lodhia Industries has contracted Danieli to supply a high-efficiency bar and wire-rod mill in Tanzania, scheduled for commissioning in the first half of 2027.

The new plant will have an annual capacity of 300,000 tons, producing rebar from 8 to 32 mm and smooth wire rod between 5.5 and 8 mm.

The technical setup includes 14 cartridge-type GCC stands, specialized finishing blocks, and advanced cooling systems for both product lines. Designed to process 150×150 mm billets with future upgrade options, the facility allows for the addition of a Horizontal Billet Welder (HBW) to enable endless rolling.

This investment is expected to meet growing regional demand through sustainable production methods that reduce energy use and material waste across East African markets.
