Maersk Group is launching the first container service to Greater Odesa ports since the war began, partnering with Ukrainian feeder operator Iteris to connect Chornomorsk with Romania's Constanta terminal using an 1100+ TEU vessel.

Shipments are expected to double soon, with more shipping companies involved, potentially enabling direct shipments to Ukraine from Egypt and Turkey. This new service has replaced the barge route between Reni and Constanta, and the last voyage is on June 15. Additionally, Turkish company Akkon has launched its own feeder service to Chornomorsk. The Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority reports that 10 container ships have already been handled at Greater Odesa ports, with plans for further development.
