Malaysia's CHB operates as normal in lockdown period

CSC Steel Holdings Bhd (CHB), one of the main cold-rolled steel coil producers in Malaysia, said that the current production and business keep as usual from June 1 to 14 under the nationwide lockdown imposed by the government for the severer COVID-19 pandemic.

Its parent company, Taiwan's China Steel Corp (CSC), is monitoring the situation to ensure CHB's productivity without a problem.

As per experience, the shutdown may affect the local steel industry with expected limitations and inconvenience caused only for the short term.
