Under a cooperation agreement with Rio Tinto, Marubeni has sold low-carbon aluminum billets with Fuji Light Metal Co., Ltd. and Fujisash Co., Ltd., collectively known as the Fujisash Group.

The products in this transaction are Rio Tinto’s RenewAl™ aluminum billets, which are produced at Rio Tinto’s renewably-powered New Zealand Aluminum Smelters (NZAS). These aluminum billets will be used to produce aluminum sashes and curtain walls of buildings provided by the Fujisash Group.

The transaction marked the first sale of RenewAl™ low-carbon aluminum billets in Asia, significantly improving environmental value and contributing to sustainable supply chains.
