Metalcorp Group SA, an international and diversified metals and minerals group, announced that the first commercial shipment of bauxite totaling 160,000 tons has been completed in Guinea.

This batch of bauxite was produced by Metalcorp’s subsidiary Société des Bauxites de Guinée (SBG) at its own mine in Garafiri, Guinea, and was shipped by the self-built equipment.

The bauxite was loaded into barges with the approved port facility located in the Konta region and was then delivered to a transshipment vessel, finished loading there, and transferred to the Cape Size vessel bound for China.

SBG's mine is located in Linsan, Kindia Prefecture, with an annual production capacity of 8 million tons.
