Metro Mining reports 26% y-o-y hike in May bauxite shipments

Metro Mining Limited, an Australia-based exploration and mining company, announced its May 2025 operational update, reporting bauxite shipments of 671,934 wet metric tons (wmt), a 26% increase compared to the same month a year ago.

Despite some weather-related disruptions impacting barge operations, the company remains on track to meet its annual shipment target of 6.5 million to 7 million wmt of bauxite.

Metro Mining's Bauxite Hills Mine in Queensland has strong reserves of 77.7 million tons and total resources of 114.4 million tons, supporting sustainable production growth.
