Mexico initiates second AD sunset review investigation on China’s seamless steel pipes

The Mexican Ministry of Economy announced on February 19, 2021 that it has decided to initiate the second anti-dumping (AD) sunset review investigation on the imports of seamless steel pipe originating in China, following an application filed by a local company Tubos de Acero de México S.A.

The products involved are seamless steel pipes (excluding stainless steel), with a nominal external diameter equal to or greater than 5 inches and less than or equal to 16 inches, under tariffs codes 7304.19.02, 7304.19.91, 7304.19.99, 7304.39.12, 7304.39.13, 7304.39.91, and 7304.39.99 of the TIGIE.

The period of investigation was from January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020, and the analysis period was from January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2020.
