Morocco finalizes safeguard measures for imported hot rolled steel plates

On May 13th, according to the WTO Safeguards Committee, the Moroccan investigating agency made a final ruling on safeguard measures for imported hot-rolled steel plates (French: Tôles laminées à chaud), and proposed to impose a 25% additional tariff on the products involved, decreasing by 1% every year, and the validity period would be 3 years.

The ruling shall take effect as of the date the announcement.

The Moroccan tax numbers of the products involved are under 72.08, 72.11.13, 72.11.14, 72.11.19, 72.25.30, 72.25.40, 72.26.20.00.11, 72.26.20.00.21, 72.26.20.00.30, 72.26.20.00 .40, 72.26.20.00.51, 72.26.20.00.52, 72.26.20.00.59, 72.26.91, 72.26.99.90.91 and 72.26.99.90.99.
