Nickel price stimulated by easing US-China competition

According to the market news, the nickel 3-month futures price showed a strong increase on September 10th, mainly stimulated by the phone call between President Biden and President Xi.

The presidents of the US and China did hold a phone call on September 10th, which was the first time within the recent 7 months, most of the market participants believed it would be quite helpful to both countries to rebuild the relationship.

For this year, the nickel consumption prediction came to 2.8 million tons, with an around 17% increment from last year, and the future demand still sees strong.
