Nippon Steel hikes contract prices of Ni-based stainless steel for Jan 2020

Nippon Steel Stainless Steel Corp (NSSC) announced to hike its domestic contract price of SUS304 and other nickel-based stainless steel cold-rolled sheets and plates by 10,000 yen/ton, for alloy surcharges only and the base price remained unchanged.

Besides, the contract prices of SUS430 and other chrome-based stainless steel cold-rolled sheets were kept unchanged, for both the base price and alloy surcharges.

Since the prices of nickel-based and chrome-based stainless steel were increased last June, the contract prices of nickel-based stainless steel sheets have raised by 40,000 yen/ton in total, and that of chrome-based plates have remained flat for 7 months in a row.
