Tokyo, Oct. 14 (Jiji Press)--Japan's Nippon Steel Corp. <5401> is considering selling two plants in the U.S. state of Indiana that produce steel for automobiles, informed sources said Wednesday.
The move is part of the company's efforts to reorganize its aging production bases in Japan and abroad with the aim of improving its profitability at a time when demand for steel is dwindling amid the coronavirus pandemic, according to the sources.
