Norsk Hydro’s aluminum-related products output in Q3

Norsk Hydro, a Norwegian aluminum and renewable energy company, announced that its bauxite production was around 2.81 million tons in the third quarter of this year, up by 3% compared to the previous quarter and by 2.1% from the same period a year ago.

During the period, Norsk Hydro’s alumina output was 1.58 million tons, rising by 3% quarter on quarter and keeping flat year on year. The output of primary aluminum was 543,000 tons, a quarter-on-quarter hike of 2% and a year-on-year drop of 5%.

In the first three quarters of this year, Norsk Hydro’s bauxite production amounted to 8.19 million tons, a slight decrease of 0.5% compared to the year-ago level. Alumina output was 4.63 million tons, down by 1.5% year on year. Primary aluminum production fell by 3.5% year on year to 1.62 million tons.
