Norway’s Scatec & Egypt mulling collaboration to power aluminum plant with solar energy

Scatec ASA, a leading renewable energy solutions provider in Norway, and Egypt's Ministry of Public Business Sector are exploring potential cooperation to set up a solar power plant to provide clean energy for operation at the Nagaa Hammadi Aluminum Smelter Solar PV Park.

The project is planned to be constructed in two phases, with a capacity of 500 MWh of clean power each year. The first phase is set to be completed within 18 months from the date of contract signing, and the second phase should be concluded within 24 months.
